Audiogum: Junior to Mid-Level UX / Interaction Designer

Audiogum is a new business based in central Bristol providing technology solutions in the space where audio and connected devices intersect. We provide solutions to a number of global brands and are seeking dynamic and ambitious people to help us with our ambition to become thought-leaders in the field of connected entertainment experiences.

The role


Audiogum is looking for a passionate User Experience Designer to concept and define audio experiences across a range of mobile apps, devices and connected hardware. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Audiogum follows a user-centred design process. As well as owning the user research function within Audiogum, they will also work with our talented engineers in an agile setting to ensure the product experience is executed perfectly.


You will:

  • Create storyboards, wireframes and map user interactions across key product flows.
  • Take responsibility for the creation and testing of design prototypes, sourcing users and owning the feedback loop into the product design process.  
  • Manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Approach a project from multiple angles, and deliver a variety of solutions.
  • Possess a meticulous sense of detail and ability to seek out simple solutions to complex design challenges.
  • Have excellent communication skills. From napkin sketches to high-fidelity mock-ups, you can get your visual and non-visual ideas across to a variety of audiences



  • Educated to degree level
  • Fluency in current design practices and mobile/web production prototyping software
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Demonstrates understanding and interest in relevant product and consumer behaviour trends
  • Demonstrate a solid knowledge and practice of working with all aspects of the user-centred design process


Desirable but not mandatory for the right candidate:

  • A degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Psychology or related field
  • Experience of working in an agile software development environment
  • Technical authoring skills
