A Group. About Usability. In Bristol.
Nomensa is a user experience digital design agency. UX is what we’re all about. It’s what we excel at. And it’s why we’re growing bigger and bigger.
When we started out in 2001 we were one of the first to focus on UX. So what sets us apart from almost every other UX agency today? We’ve a lot of psychology degrees in our team and we use this understanding of human behaviour to inform our design process. We call it ‘humanising technology’. It doesn’t just sound good - it works. Going from three founders to more than 40 permanent staff, a stack of industry awards and a constantly growing list of enthused clients show just how well.
It all adds up to us needing to expand our UX design team (which already has more than 20 talented individuals in it). As a UX Consultant you’ll be involved in digital design strategy and research, creating design solutions and communicating them effectively to clients. You’ll also be expected to keep up with developments in the UX field and carry out tactical and strategic internal research projects to take the agency’s design practice further forward. Whether you’re out and about interviewing abroad or user testing in our labs in Bristol, you’ll thrive on understanding people’s relationships with digital technologies and services, producing data and insights of huge value to our clients.
We cover the full development life cycle, from research to build and delivery, meaning you’ll often see your work realised. Plus, you can count on a broad range of projects that will exercise and grow your discovery, experience design and design evaluation & testing skills.
You need to be a confident communicator, equally comfortable explaining the value of your work to a room of clients, as you are to the UX team. We create really innovative programmes to solve our clients challenges, and you will need to be comfortable with creatively shaping and working across a range UX research methods and tools You’ll already have agency - and possibly client side - experience, and know your way around basic design tools to support sketching concepts and wire-framing.
So what else is in it for you, apart from the challenge, the competitive salary and the benefits? You’ll be an important part of an upbeat, friendly environment built on a lively mix of research-driven insight, refreshing creativity and commercial drive. We’re also a world leader in accessibility and inclusive design - the type of experience you just won’t get anywhere else. And it all happens in a beautiful part of Bristol.
If you’re ready to make a change and make a difference, please send your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org (please use UX Consultant in the subject line).
